All items in our Summer Clearance are now 60% off! Come shop our “indoor” sidewalk sale in the nice, cool A/C. Sale runs through Sunday, August 5. We’ll be open until 9pm on Friday this week for Downtown Lakeland’s First Friday celebration.
Summer is nearly over (at least in terms of school schedules, if not our hot and humid weather) and that means it’s time for our annual Kids Art Holiday Ornament Contest. The contest is open to kids in grades K -12. The winning drawing will become Brooke Pottery’s 2012 Holiday Ornament. The pottery ornament debuts Thanksgiving weekend and is for sale throughout the winter holidays. Brooke Pottery donates ten percent of proceeds to the Needlework Guild.
This year, young artists compete for cash prizes – $75 for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for third place. (And bragging rights, of course!) Pick up entry forms at Brooke Pottery or download form here . Line art is required since the design will be reproduced in clay. A marker or watercolor drawing, while wonderful, does not translate well. Deadline: September 7, 2012. Hard copies of entries must be submitted to the shop. Winning designs will be announced and awards presented on First Friday November 2, 2012.
Our most recent ornaments include the Christmas Swan Stocking, Santa with his bag of gifts and a penguin. We wonder what this year’s design will be….

Come shop our annual Summer Clearance indoors, with A/C to keep you comfortable, and on First Friday wine, cheese, cookies and juice to snack on. Here are some of the great gifts you’ll now find at 40% off:
